I have always loved drawing since I was a child. My mother was a scientist with a passion for art and children's literature, she was always bringing me new and exciting books. Illustrated books dominated most of our bookshelves. Today I retain my love for illustration and visual story telling. Since studying Illustration at Brighton University I have worked in a variety of related areas from libraries to teaching art in primary schools. I have continued to develop my own work as well as designing pieces of publicity for events and taking on a range of unique commissions.

This year I decided to take the plunge and return to education to further my professional practice. I will be starting a Masters in children's illustration at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge in September 2017. I aim to explore my passion for narrative illustration through creating stories that communicate scientific ideas in intriguing and relatable ways.
